Facebook is the ultimate social network and everyone and their momma is joining it – no, seriously; everyone’s mom is joining facebook. When your mom joins facebook it’s sure to change the way you act. Following are the 5 things you immediately stop doing once your mom joins facebook.
#1: You’ll stop swearing when mom joins facebook
As soon as your mom (aunt, grandmother, father, etc.) joins facebook you’ll go from only typing words that start with “four letters” to typing ┬╛ of those words with weird characters (s#@%, f@#!, etc.). You’ll start suffering from a strange case of text character Tourette syndrome.
You used to exercise your freedom of speech like no other but your swift tongue has been neutered and you’ve become more politically correct than you’ve ever been in your entire life. This goes beyond swearing; you won’t even talk about obscene things once your mom joins facebook – you’ll go from rated R to rated PG.
#2: You’ll act like sex doesn’t exist when mom joins facebook
Before your mother joined facebook you were a sex monster. You posted raunchy pictures as your profile pictures, hit on every girl (or guy) that you thought was hot, and you’d post stupid status updates like “Tits, WOOT!”
Now that mom is on facebook, you act like you’re back in 2nd grade and girls (or guys) are icky again. You’ll have no parts in anything that involves doing “the nasty.” Once your mom becomes one of your facebook friends you go from raunchy pics to wearing a turtleneck and corduroys in all your profile pics. You’ll go from being the leader of the sex chat nation to stopping any and all mature conversations from appearing on your profile page. You can no longer share things on Facebook that your mom might not want. You will just end up going to buy Instagram likes at https:buzzvoive.com because it seems to be better than posting nasty things that your mom will certainly dislike. But there is always a good side on it. You can have more likes and followers!
#3: You’ll stop being so blunt and honest once mom joins facebook
Being blunt, sarcastic and sort of a dick was your thing before your momma joined facebook. Once you discovered that you were being monitored by the person that used to give you spankings and washed your mouth out with soap; you stopped “tellin’ it like it is.”
As soon as mommy dearest joins facebook; you know she’s got her eyes on you. Your mom has your facebook profile bookmarked and refreshed every 5 minutes and if you so much as say anything mean to anyone else, she’ll give you a social spanking for all of your friends to see (that will never be lived down). Your mom wants you to play fair and be nice to the other kids even if they are mean to you. Once your mom gets a hold of your facebook page, you’d better be nice to everyone or mommy will make you post “I’ll never be a facebook meanie” 1,000 times as a punishment.
#4: You will stop detailing your nightly habits once mom joins facebook
Those drunk, wild, and crazy club and night on the town pictures and statuses will stop once your mother joins facebook. You once wore your night life escapades as a badge of honor, but you’ll try your best to conceal this lifestyle from your mum. You were once a party animal but now you’re a tamed puppy.
#5: You’ll definitely stop complaining about your parents
Facebook was once a great place to come and vent your parental woes. If ma or pa got on your nerves, you’d rush to facebook to air out all of your frustrations, but you’d be better served just yelling your frustrations at your parents directly now that one of them is now facebook. Your parents can now see everything that you say, think, and do and complaining about what they’ve done will reach them immediately. Once your mother joins facebook you’ll have to either get a pen pal or cell phone to complain about their actions because facebook has been breached.
It’s important for your batch process programs (and any program that you write for that matter) to demonstrate ideals of the utmost security. These files (assuming that you’ve locked down the permissions on your computer) are the keys to opening up sensitive system resources and locating and exploiting susceptible databases; ultimately leaving a programmer exposed. With batch process programming it is possible to create a much more secure data table by employing multi-tiered or multi-layered measures of security. This means that where once there was simple password employed to protect information, now a series of autonomous “firewalls” puts a user under intense (and often times invisible) scrutiny, separating them from sensitive information about your program. Let’s go over some of the ways in which we can make this happen.
There’s not much to be said about it; passwords are and will always be boss in the world of computer security. Setting passwords in batch is easy, but is it enough? Will you trust your file system with a wall no wider than a few letters? Not me! But lets keep in mind that they are a good way to initialize a user, and let that user know that they are being watched.
Setting a password
We’ve gone over setting passwords in several past lessons, however, we’ll go over it very briefly here since it is so ultimately important. To set a simple password, simply gather the user information with the SET /P command, and match the terms with an IF statement, like so:
SET /P password= What is the password?
IF password==Cool (ECHO GOOD!) ELSE (ECHO YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO VIEW THE MESSAGE)
In this example, the IF statement is matching conditions to the variable password, if the variable does not equal the word “Cool”, then the subsequent ELSE command will take effect. As I’ve said earlier, there are many more advanced ways to employee passwords (so get reading), but this will give you a basic concept.
Registering users is by far my favorite way to go about program security. Think about it; you now know how and when a user has used the program and can enable system logs to store information about the users session, or prohibit a user from accessing particular features. Its security features like these that help build customizable, individualized programs. Make sure to include a section in your script where a user can register their information. You can then have it sent to you, or stored in a log file somewhere to be used later by the shell. For example:
SET /P registered= Have you registered with this program before?
IF %registered%==YES (GOTO START) ELSE ((ECHO “Well, let’s get you registered”) amp; (GOTO REGISTER ))
SET /P name=What is your name?
SET /P pAssword=What is your desired password?
IF EXIST %name%.txt (ECHO It actually looks like you’ve already registered) ELSE ((ECHO @ECHO OFF gt; %name%.bat) amp; (ECHO set NAME=%name% gt; gt; %name%.bat) amp; (ECHO SET PASSWORD=%password% gt; gt; %name%.bat))
This program registers a user by creating another batch file (log file) with their information. Note that the name and password were saved as the variables NAME and PASSWORD within the file. This way we can compare these variables with IF statements in the future instead of writing one universal password for all users. Using this technique, we can individualize users with statements like:
SET /P passwordcompare= What is your password?
IF passwordcompare==password GOTO START
instead of having to universalize information (making a program much less secure).
The Self-Terminating Program
The beginning of the program can be done through a click at the https://www.wavemaker.com/rapid-application-development-model/ site. The platform provided will match with the needs and specifications of the person. The charges will be less for the person for the model.
Finally, let’s say that we’ve written a program that contains REALLY important information (ie. the girl/guy that you like, your favorite breakfast cereal ,etc. ) and have to MAKE SURE that there is no way that a little brother, friend, mortal enemy or God himself can get in without the password. If this is the case, then a self-terminating program is the answer. What this program will be designed to do; is accept a certain amount of incorrect passwords, and upon reaching a certain number of attempts, delete itself. That’s right! So, first things first, make sure that you save an extra copy of this file somewhere without the function enabled to ensure that you don’t delete your important information accidentally. Then, install the following code within a security or password module in the preface of your program:
SET /P password= Password, please:
IF %password%==GEMINI (ECHO GOTO START)
ECHO Error, invalid password.
SET /P password= Password, please:
IF %password%==GEMINI (ECHO GOTO START)
ECHO Error, invalid password. This is your last attempt.
SET /P password= Password, please:
IF %password%==GEMINI (ECHO GOTO START)
ECHO Your privilege to this security console has been disabled. Good bye.
ECHO UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. SELF-TERMINATION INITIATED AT %date% , %time%. gt; log.txt
The user will be guided linearly through each module, being asked gradually for a correct password. However, upon reaching the :SORRY module, the message, “Your privilege to this security console has been disabled. Good bye.’ would have been displayed, a log file would have documented the termination time and date, and the program would have self-terminated. In this a way, a user is truly limited in what functions they can perform without a password, in much the same way that a user will be locked out of bank software if they can’t meet the security parameters.
With the culminative efforts of each of these security measures ( and improvised measures by you), it will literally be impossible for unauthorized sources to access your software. Keep in mind that building your program as an executable file will add to the security layer (read lesson), allowing no one to edit your program either. It’s important that you understand that these measures of security, even for the weakest of programs, are inevitably important. Protect your files, your work and your information! And as always have fun, experiment, and happy programming.

There are a number of lighting fixtures to choose from when you are choosing lighting for your home or office. Depending on the type of atmosphere you’d like to create and the lighting needs you have, you can choose from a wide variety of unique lighting fixtures. With the use of a rheostat switch you can turn an ordinary light fixture into classy, romantic subdued lighting or with the use of a sensor switch you can control length of time a light stays on turning any light into a cool lighting fixture.
Staying on Track
Track lighting is a great way to accent dark corners of any space where you would like indirect lighting and want to illuminate the room. Track lighting fixtures are very economical and use small LED light bulbs or a reflective covering inside the housing so that it uses reflection to distribute the light. It produces little to no heat which makes it a great choice for lighting fixtures in the kitchen or living room.
Pendant lighting is a very popular lighting accessory that brings the light as close as you need to the area you wish to illuminate. Pendant light fixtures can help tie any décor together as there are many sizes, shapes and colors of globe shades that can be installed into any ballast. For instance, if you are using a ceiling fan with a light kit in a study or office setting you may want to have more direct lighting over a desk or table where work is being done without taking away from the ambiance of the total room.
Recessed lighting is a light fixture that is a receptacle usually installed in the ceiling and can be used as bright direct lighting. The use of recessed fixtures helps direct light to the space around the fixture and only casts light in that space. Depending upon the number of fixtures installed recessed lights can produce a lot of heat quickly and can be troublesome to change the bulb if you are not nimble with a ladder.
If you are on a budget as many consumers are these days, there are equally appealing options for budget lighting fixtures to choose from. There are many great types of ballast available that cater to all budgets and styles ranging in height from low reading level to tall ambient soft room lighting. Some wall fixtures come with an option to be hard wired into the wall or a plugged directly into an outlet.
Natural light sources are the ultimate in free lighting. Although costs can get a little high, the light will never need electricity. Even if your room is not the best place for a skylight, smaller solar tube skylights can affordably direct natural light around plumbing pipes and wires with ease.
Working on this kind of project requires careful action as you are dealing with electricity and wire. For your safety, make sure that you are using the right tools. Everyone handles money differently. How might Geminis survive the credit cruch? A look at how Geminis manage their finances and investments.
Like most things in their life, Geminis have an easy-going attitude toward money. Their financial situation is likely to vary during the course of their life and whereas this state of affairs might be disturbing for someone born say, under an Earth sign like Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, it won’t particularly bother them.
Geminis are good at earning money; they’re good at spending it too!
Gemini’s Financial Future
When money is good, they won’t really put a lot of thought into their financial future. They may have periods when they earn good money only to fritter it away on small, insignificant items. They might buy things on the spur of the moment, only to stash them away in cupboards and drawers and these items will never again see the light of day!
Geminis should therefore try to curb impulsive spending and should learn how to handle their money wisely. Otherwise they will feel the pinch of the credit crunch. If they do feel they’ve found a bargain they can’t walk away from, they should ask themselves: is it a useful one?

It’s a shock to discover you can see your scalp through your hair. You wonder how it happened without your being aware of it. Or maybe, as in my case, you noticed your hair falling on the floor, your neck and clothes and a large amount in the tub when you washed it. Even worse, a friend will pick hair off your shoulder and say, “Did you know you’re shedding?”
You begin to count hairs having heard that everyone loses approximately 100 hairs per day. You stress that maybe you’re losing more than that. A really desperate friend of mine actually counted all her hairs in a 24 hour period before she made an appointment with her dermatologist.
You rush to the internet wondering which of countless hair loss solutions you should pursue.
Before you spend money on supplements, products or hair clubs, please read my recommendations to avoid finding yourself separated from your money by various “solutions” that don’t work.
The first thing to do is try to determine why you’re losing your hair.
Thinning hair or a receding hairline in men in their 20s or early 30s is usually hereditary unless the loss can be traced to medications which cause hair loss. It’s best to consult a dermatologist.
Thinning hair among women is not unusual, especially after menopause when hormonal changes may cause “female pattern baldness” marked by thinning of hair all over the head without a receding front hairline. How to cut your own hair women and men can be a different issue if you are experiencing thinning hair. Hence, it is always important to look for possible and effective solutions.
Hair loss in both sexes can be due to severe stress, hair care treatments, styling or even a habit of twisting of pulling your hair either with your hands or in a pony tail.
Some prescription drugs that can cause hair excessive hair shedding are blood thinners and medications for gout, arthritis, depression, heart problems and high blood pressure.
You also might ask your doctor to test you for thyroid disease which can also cause hair loss. If this is the problem, treatment should result in hair regrowth.
In my case, I suffered the common occurrence of excessive hair loss after stopping birth control pills, then later after the birth of each of my children. While my hair grew back, it was a stressful time anyway and hair problems just compounded my anxieties.
How I wished I’d had available the product I’m going to recommend to you. It is your first line of defense.
The miracle product is called Toppik and can be purchased from the Spencer Forrest company. Go to www.toppik.com and you’ll read about a number of their products but the one you want is Toppik. The product comes in a container that you shake over the thin spots. You choose the color closest to your own hair color. Keratin protein fibers fall into your hair and bond electrostatically. It is totally undetectable. Just don’t get so enthusiastic that you use too much. A little goes a long way.
I used the spray maximizer for a while since my hair is thinnest in front. I liked it but after two years it clogged up and I went back to just tapping the container. I prefer to hold the container upside down with my middle and ring fingers and tap it sharply with my pointer (index) finger. You can also hold your hair sideways with your hand and shake the fibers toward the roots and even along the hair strands. This gives fine hair more body and makes it easier to style.
When you wash your hair the product washes out. So after blow drying you shake some more in. It’s very easy and you’ll never be without it. Hair spray is recommended to “hold” the fibers but I’ve never seen any of them fall. It will never show up on your pillowcase or shirt or anywhere. Don’t buy special hair spray. Any kind you like is fine.
The most amazing part of my testimony to the value of this product is that I’ve never seen it advertised in any magazine or on TV. Only once, about 10 years ago, Spencer Forrest had a full page ad in USA Today.
My husband and I travel extensively so I often get my hair styled with a different person. I always take along my container of Toppik, explain how to use it and generate interest from not only my stylist but everyone around me. No one has ever heard of it before and I get oohs and ahhs from other women and all the stylists. Never in all my salon visits has anyone heard of it or seen it before.
My next article is going to cover excellent supplements you can take to speed hair regrowth. I’ll describe the relative merits and disadvantages of products you may have encountered such as Minoxidil (the brand name is Rogaine) Nioxin, and more.
I was going through an old file cabinet about three weeks ago and I came across an extended warranty for my digital camera which I purchased from Ritz Camera, approximately 3 years ago. After looking it over and placing it back in the file cabinet I thought to myself I completely forgot that I had purchased it. Why did I purchase it anyway? I never purchase extended warranties. I read somewhere that 80% of extended warranties never get used and I was falling within the realm of that population because my camera was fine. There have been no problems thus far probably due to the lack of use.
Then as I was checking my email I came across an online news article, from the Crain’s Cleveland Business magazine, which stated Ritz Camera has filed for bankruptcy. My immediate thought was, just a sign of the times. Another one bites the dust. It seemed like retail outlets every where were folding up the tents and calling it quits. I also recalled the fact that that’s the place where I purchased my camera. I need more information, I thought.
I called Ritz Camera and boldly stated, “Hey you guys filed for bankruptcy”. The young lady answering the phone replied, “Yeah?! As though to say tell me something I don’t know. What about my extended warranty?! I bellowed into the phone. Who’s going to honor it if the need should arise?, (Like I was really concerned). I was more curios than anything. Well, we are still in business and just reorganizing. “As far as I can tell we will continue to operate and do business”. Wow!! What a relief I sarcastically stated. I wouldn’t want my warranty to go to waste. She went on to add, “but that’s the situation as it stands right now and you just never know what’s going to happen in the future. Yeah I can understand that with the state of the economy and this recession that we are in. Oh, by the way I don’t live in the area anymore, do you have a shop near my location. “Let me check, she said and placed me on hold never to return again. I actually hung up after 2 minutes of hold time.
After hanging up I thought, this is probably going to be a never used extended warranty. If my memory serves me correctly it’s due to expire this year anyway, September 2009. Where was that camera anyway? I was just looking at it the other day. Probably needs to have the dust wiped from it’s surface. Not getting much use here. I found the camera but now all of a sudden I couldn’t find the extended warranty. Where was it? I just had it the other day. What if I need it? (just joking). Even though I wasn’t concerned about that extended warranty I spent a good portion of time looking for it because I was curios about the expiration date. I may have spent 20% of my time looking for it and for no good reason.
Suddenly I recalled, that statistic once again, 80% of extended warranties are never used? I just spent 20% of my time looking for an extended warranty that I am probably never going to use. Right then and there I realized that I was a victim of the Pareto Principle. It’s funny how different things and situations make you think of other things. Well one day I am going to write an article about the Pareto Principle.
What you should take away from this is the fact that your extended warranty is still good if you happened to purchase one with your camera from Ritz. That’s how it stands as of today. See why we are voted the bankruptcy attorney san diego – Experts are claiming to the clients. The results of the case should be in the response of the client.
There are different types of professions in the world and the average common man must have gone through most of them atleast once in his lifetime. We are living in such times where the job market has gone from bad to worse with fierce competition.
On top of it, nepotism has become more prevalent where rich and elite people use their influence to have their spoilt brats with well paid jobs without any struggle, leaving the less privileged people with menial ones.
Bear in mind that no job is big or small in this world and you always can have to adjust with what you get not because you don’t have any choice but because you will get to learn new things from this that is considered menial by the entire world.
We are going to talk about welding and it is not what many people consider a respectable profession but simply a low level job for uneducated yolks but if you look at it closely, there is more to it than meets the eye.
Welding, by definition, is a fabrication that is more like a sculpting process that joins different materials together with the help of metal and plastic that is made of thermo and it is heated thoroughly for melting, following it is kept in a cool place and the change in temperature causes fusion.
You must have seen the bars of a prison or that of your windows because they were attached through the process of welding in order to hold the two panes together and allow ventilation into the house.
Therefore, welding is a process that has to be respected and there is nothing to ridicule about either the profession or the people who are involved in it due to its different characteristics.
We are going back a little in time to understand the process better and binding of different metals into one fold is centuries older than you think and it is believed to be originated from Middle East or West European countries but the exact time period is still a mystery.
This practice was prevalent in the Bronze and Iron age and the ancient Greek historian Herodotus was the one who had tried and tested the process of welding by attaching two iron rods together on pieces of wood and invented this ingenious process known as welding.
Learn the Technique
If you want to utilize a welding career, here are some important tips to improve your skills:
If you are looking to change your kitchen’s theme without spending a lot of money, then you might want to think about staining your kitchen cabinets. If your kitchen cabinets have years of built-up paint, then stripping them and staining them a lighter color can make your kitchen seem a lot brighter. If you are looking to update your kitchen or are buying new cabinets altogether, then you might want to consider buying them unfinished. Not only is it cheaper but you can save yourself some time when preparing them for the staining process.
Before you can even think of staining your kitchen cabinets that have old paint on them, you will have to keep in mind that it is going to be a lot of work. However, beginning a kitchen makeover by staining your kitchen cabinets can make a big difference right off the bat. You might find that the change is so remarkable that you might not want the shiny new appliances after all. Your kitchen will seem bigger and brighter if you go with a lighter shade of stain. If you are wanting to tone down your kitchen’s color scheme and bring a softer ambience to the area, then you might want to choose a darker stain.
STEP #1 How to Stain Your Kitchen Cabinets
STEP #1 A) For already painted Cabinets
The first thing you should do before you remove your cabinet doors for sanding and prep work is to label them. Starting at either end of your kitchen cabinets, mark a piece of masking or painter’s tape with #1, #2, and so on. Place each one on the back of the cabinet door as you go along. Once that is done then you can remove the doors and hardware to begin the sanding process. Keep the hardware in a covered container so that you don’t lose any of the screws or pieces. Take your doors to a well ventilated area to get them ready for sanding. It is a lot easier if you have your location already set-up for doing this work. Try setting a sheet of plywood on top of a couple of saw-horses to make the cleaning, sanding, and staining easier on you. Remember that you will also want to stain the “body” of the cabinets and not just the doors. You can take everything out of your cabinets, which is easier to do once the doors are off, and give them a good cleaning before you begin sanding the doors.
When you have all of your cabinet doors removed and taken to your work station, then you will want to give them a thorough cleaning to remove any grease build-up before you start the paint stripping process. Using a mild cleaner wash the cabinet doors down. Start with cabinet door #1 and move down the line in order. Once you get the last one done then the first one will be dried and ready for stripping.
STEP #1 B) For Unpainted or Natural Cabinets
As stated before, if you purchase new, unpainted cabinets this will save you a lot of prep time. All you will need to do is, if they are already installed, label them and take them down. If however they haven’t been installed yet, then be sure to remember to at least label the doors so that you will know what order they go in when it comes time to put the doors on.
STEP #2 how to Stain Your Kitchen Cabinets
STEP #2 A) For already painted cabinets
Once the doors have been washed and allowed to dry, it is time to begin the stripping process. There are a lot of different products on the market that you can use for this step. Try finding one that will do the job that is required. If there are a lot of layers of old paint, then use a product that will remove a lot of layers at one time. No matter what type of paint stripper that you use be sure to follow the package directions to the letter. Do this in a very well ventilated area with the proper attire; safety glasses or goggles, heavy gloves, and a heavy apron if required. Do the doors in order and when they have been stripped, go and strip the paint off the “body” of the cabinets inside. Remember to open the windows and use fans to get the proper ventilation. You might also want to lay down a tarp to protect your kitchen counters and surfaces.
STEP #2 B) For unpainted or natural kitchen cabinets
Another time saver on this step if your cabinets are unpainted. If you’ve already cleaned them and they have dried then you can skip this step because there is no paint on them for you to have to strip off.
You just have to take a leaf out from 7ds.guide on how to handle dirt and paint but since it is dried up you don’t have to do much and simply remove the stains and flecks of dust.
STEP #3 How to Stain Your Kitchen Cabinets
STEP #3 A) For already painted kitchen Cabinets
By now you have the doors removed, cleaned, and stripped. Now it is time to give them a good sanding with a heavy grade sandpaper. You can use a palm sander to save yourself a lot of hard work. Your kitchen cabinets, especially the doors take a lot of abuse throughout the years. There is not a day that goes by that you don’t open them or close them. Give them a good thorough sanding to remove any nicks or scratches and to “open up” the wood. This will allow the stain to sink in and get a good bond. After the doors are done you will need to do the same thing to the “body” of the cabinets inside. After you have sanded wipe them down with a damp rag to remove the dust.
STEP #3 B) For unpainted and natural kitchen cabinets
These should have come already primed and ready to go. If they have been up for awhile, then give them a light sanding to get the wood ready to receive the stain. Make sure to wipe them down afterwards to remove any specks of dust that will remain.
STEP #4 How to stain your kitchen cabinets
STEP #4 A) For already painted kitchen cabinets
Now that the sanding is all done, it’s time to apply the stain. Whatever type of stain that you have decided to use, just follow the application instructions on the label and this step will go smoothly. Remember, when applying the stain to brush it on in the direction of the grain. Allow for the proper drying time as is stated on the label in between coats. Once you have the doors stained and left to dry you can apply the stain to the cabinets inside the house. Remember to ventilate the area well.
STEP #4 For unpainted and natural kitchen cabinets
This step is the same for already painted kitchen cabinets and unpainted or natural kitchen cabinets. Just follow the step listed above.
STEP #5 How to stain your kitchen cabinets
STEP #5 A) For already painted kitchen cabinets
In between coats of stain and after the last coat has been applied, you will want to give the kitchen cabinets and doors a very light sanding. Remove any dust before applying the next coat of stain or the sealer. This will take a little bit of time, but it will give you a nice, clean, professional look to the finished product. When they have been sanded and cleaned for the final time, give them a fresh coat or two of sealer to finish them out. You can choose a glossy finish or a matte finish when choosing the sealer you will use. Once finished and given the proper drying time, then you can re-attach the hardware and re-hang the doors. Voila! You have given your kitchen a whole new look!
It is difficult to pick the top 3 bars in the college town of Bowling Green, Ohio, because there are so many to choose from! With over 20 bars in its small downtown area, BG has something for everyone when it comes to nightlife – from sports bars to dance clubs to classy entertainment. You might try out Grumpy Dave’s for comedy nights or euchre tournaments, or Buffalo Wild Wings for sports games and famous grub. However, the three best clubs in Toronto listed here come up a little higher than the rest in terms of ambience, specials, and unique attributes:
1. Uptown Downtown Sports Bar and Deli:
Located at the corner of Main and Court Streets, Uptown Downtown is a two-in-one treat for bar-goers. The lower level, Downtown, is 21+, and offers the typical sports bar ambiance, complete with air hockey and foosball tables, plenty of plasma screen TVs showing all your favorite sporting events, and tons of specials, including free pool on Monday nights and $2.50 Long Island Iced Teas on Tuesdays.
For the younger crowd, Uptown is an 18+dance club, with themed nights all week long, including the local favorite, Monday 80s night. Dubbed “Bowling Green’s Most Famous Gathering Place,” you won’t want to miss the opportunity to experience this eclectic bar experience!
2. 149 North:
Recently opened at 149 North Main Street within the last 3 years, 149 (“One Four Nine”) boasts a large dance floor, comfortable seating, and a great selection of tunes. While you are sure to find a good crowd in there on weekends, I have found this to be an excellent place to hang out on weeknights. The atmosphere is more laid back, and you can find incredible specials, such as $1.00 off drafts on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as Wednesday “Wine Night.” 149 is always 21+, so it is a good option for older college students, graduate schools, and local residents to frequent.
3. The Clazel:
One of the most unique bars in Bowling Green, the Clazel is a renovated movie theater located at 127 North Main Street. You will be blown away by the décor of this historical BG Landmark, which offers exceptional live entertainment throughout the week, a banquet facility for your events, and even a “Brew and View” series for film showings. You might also check out their themed nights, including “Goth Night” on Wednesdays and 18+ on Thursdays. Although you may pay a little more for drinks at this venue, you will certainly make up for it in ambiance and get a chance at a few knockout specials along the way!
